HEAR YE, HEAR YE: You'll be hearyeing more of this "miniature reunion" but Boz has sent word that promised arrangements have now been completed for the next-fall-come-one-come-all executive committee meeting in Hanover October 13 and 14. Friday night, 13th, a group dinner at the DOC House catered by the Hanover Inn. Saturday an invitation from Lee andRuss Stearns for a dutch-treat luncheon at their home before the Penn game. That night another group dinner at the Hotel Coolidge and they have a reputation for good food. Thirteen rooms have been reserved at the Maple Leaf Motel which is 1.5 miles south of Interstate 91 and 89 interchange just below White River. You'll have to arrange for your own football tickets with the usual application forms but the college will put us all together. Of course everyone is invited to sit in on the meeting Saturday morning and discuss "Operation '37." So put a circle on those calendar dates now for reference and if you're sure you'll make it let us know ahead of time, reservations might be tough. Incidentally, Jake Crouthamel '60 says Penn is fast rebuilding their team and will be a good contender over the next few years.

Don and Polly Dumont leased a completely equipped house trailer last summer for a trip to Thousand Islands, Canada, and back to Hartford via the Adirondacks. They recently entertained Maryand Garry Lowe, Peggy and Ed Sterns (no news) and Don sat next to Bruce Manternach at some kind of 60th Anniversary Dinner at the Hartford University Club. Says Bruce is doing well in his law practice and plans a trip to Scotland next fall to shoot geese. Bill Timber's card is a photo of four of the healthiest looking offspring imaginable with following identification, all Dartmouth except one, as follows: John '64, now Harvard Law, Nancy, Vassar '68, Dwight '70, Nick '72 (God and Ed Chamberlain '36 willing).

We mentioned we were sending out reply postcards for news and this department is grateful to all the U.S. post offices for their cooperation, and to some of our classmates who can read and write, but must say the response is hardly overwhelming. ShermBlake answered with a letter, "I keep busy with the family mill and industrial supply business (W. L. Blake & Co., Portland, Me.) and am also a director of the First National Bank of Portland, the Maine Central R.R., Cumberland Savings & Loan, and the Portland Terminal Company, all of which makes for a little homework. Ginny and I now live alone at Falmouth Foreside on the water as the kids have all 'graduated' and presently we have five grandchildren and one in the bucket." From Harry Brown as a result of a new address, "Thanks for the card and the quick spotting of our change. I am still with Poirette (ladies' foundations) and since I spend most of my time between Philadelphia and Washington it made more sense to move to Delaware (603 Black Gates Road, Wilmington) to ease the traveling back and forth and to get away from New York's clogged highways. Aside from the new home the big news this year was the birth of a grandson, June 21. He is John Pleasant McMichael III - and that is longer than he is!" From Brice Sheets, a statistical compendium from new address of 7600 Buttercup Lane, Rockford, III., "Six years as insurance salesman, all kinds. Five children 28, 26, 22, 20, and 20. Three married (first 3), 4 grandchildren 7, 5, 1, and 1. Sold house we built and lived in for 27 years. Building small house 15 miles in country (20 acres, wooded, stream). Still married to college sweetheart, 29 years. Not grey yet and still have all my hair. Put on 20 pounds since '37 and still like beer." John Herman indicated he had a lot of pictures taken during college days so we asked that he pick out a few for publication. By registered mail arrives the whole album. If all goes well we may have a beaut later on. Thank you, John.
And so, gentle reader, our vigil endeth and, with the first golden streaks of dawn parting night's mantle, thy humble servant doth prepare to follow the neighborhood cats up the Fleadom Trail to bed.
