APRIL 1967 HARRY W. SAVAGE M'27

Before you read this you should have received the tentative schedule of the May 27 meeting of the Nathan Smith Medical Society. If not, let us know. After the long winter, this should be a good place to spend the Memorial Day weekend in, as Doctor Sy used to say, the salubrious warm spring green of Hanover. We hope YOU will be here.

We have received many inquiries about the transition to a four-year school. The progress in this direction will be covered in detail at the Nathan Smith Medical meeting, and there will be ample opportunity for questions. It would be impossible to cover the whole picture in this column, so come on May 27 with your questions.

Barring unexpected withdrawals, the Admissions Committee has completed the roster of the 1967 fall entering class. For your information, over 1400 inquiries were handled and between 600 and 700 completed applications were received before the cut-off date. Some 200 applicants were interviewed by invitation, and the 48 tentative acceptees represent 22 colleges or universities.
