As some of you may know, Dean KarlHill has been ill for the past several weeks with infectious hepatitis. Latest reports indicate that he is showing some improvement and we are all most anxious for a speedy recovery. Assistant Dean John Hennessey is Acting Dean in Karl's absence.
Turning to the alumni, we have recently been notified that C. Harvey Kelley T'53 has been named "Man of the Year" in the Carr R. Purser Agency of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Dean Hill recently received a letter from Mark Thomas T'65 who is with the Ford Motor Company. He is enjoying his experiences with Ford immensely, and to his very pleasant surprise Ford has installed a timesharing console for one of their GE-265's quite close to his office. He is thankful for the computer preparation received at Tuck School. Mark relates that Philip BentonT'52 has been promoted to Division Manager at Ford, and that Robert Nassau T'64 has a new position in the Warranty Analysis Department of Tractor Division of Ford.
William Katz T'61 writes that he has received a Travelers Research Fellowship for work in Health Care Administration. Congratulations, Bill. George Roth T'65 has recently been appointed Manager of Operations Cost Analysis for Columbia Broadcasting System; he will be responsible for all analyses of consolidated operations statements and for operations budgets and forecasts. I recently heard from Jack SpringT'61 who is now a manager of Management Services Department of Price Waterhouse & Co. in Portland, Oregon. Charles J. Zimmerman T'24 has recently been elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. Harris J. Richardson Jr. T'42 has been elected an Executive Vice President of Eaton & Howard, Inc.
Former New Hampshire Governor Lane Dwinell '28 of Lebanon has sold his interest in one of the nation's oldest ski wear manufacturers. Carter & Churchill Co. of Lebanon, and the buyer is Commerce, Inc., which is controlled by Frederick T. Bedford III T'61 and Stephen W. Crisafulli T'62.
Peter Barnard T'57 has been elected a Vice President of Bache & Co. Andrew L.Petersen T'59 has been elected a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is an Instructor of Accounting at Bentley College of Accounting and Finance. Charles J. Hulsebosch T'56 has recently been elected Treasurer of United Fruit Co.; he has been Assistant Treasurer since 1965. Raymond Alexander T'54 was recently sworn in by Mayor John Lindsay as Assistant Commissioner of .Health for New York City.
Frank P. Wuerfel T'49 is now Vice President for Sales of R. J. Reynolds Foods, Inc. He will direct sales throughout the U.S. and Canada. John G. Jennings T'49 has been appointed Marketing-Sales Manager for the Redfield Gun Sight Co. of Denver.
