Herbert M. Walker passed away on September 21, 1968 at the Ridge Crest Convalescent Center, Feasterville, Pa., where he had been a resident since May 7 following a series of strokes, the last one being April 27. Herb was one of the nationally known members of '09 having been a past national vice commander of the American Legion. An In Memoriam to him will appear in this issue or a later one.
John T. Meyers, "The Chief," has moved to Rialto Trailer Village, Space 104, 250 No. Linden Ave., Rialto, Calif. 92376. The Chief in his 89th year still has an interest in the doings of '09.
Albert W. Bates has returned to his home, 71 Chestnut Hill Place, Glen Ridge, N. J., after spending the summer in Vermont. He is looking forward to next June and being in Hanover for the 60th.
Chester and Martha Brett spent the last of September and the first half of October at the Hanover Inn. Chet was busy making arrangements for the 60th.
James F. Greenebaum has been elected president of a contract bridge club of about 50 members in his home town. The club meets weekly for dinner and to play bridge. Jim has been a member for about ten years.
Bertrand and Hazel French became greatgrandparents for the third time when Christopher Mark French arrived on July 14, 1968.
Dr. Wilbur I. Bull continues to improve from his heart attack which took place the latter part of July and is able to go to football practice and some games. He says he is nearly the old Wilbur we all love.
Leon B. Farley has been hospitalized with an arthritic spine and is now at his home, 44 Bullough Park, Newtonville, Mass.
Kenneth E. Root is having trouble with his spine as the result of two falls which hospitalized him for nearly twelve weeks this past summer.
Curtis M. Hilliard has been in the hospital for a minor operation and is now on the recovery coveryroad.
Edgar S. Chappelear has been hospitalized twice since last May and is confined to the vicinity of his home, 40 Elm St., Greenwich, Conn. 06830.
