Over 100 alumni, undergraduates, prospects and fathers gathered on December 28 for our annual Christmas Luncheon. Enrollment Chairman Kevin Sullivan '54 was especially pleased that his 27 prospects in attendance were most interested in the presentations of Bill Goller '68, who spoke for the undergraduates, and our principal speaker Mike Slive '62, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at the College.
Herb Darling Jr. '55 was elected president, with Bob Thompson Jr. '58 and JackCramer Jr. '57 serving as vice-presidents. Luncheon Chairman Cliff Donahower '56 was reelected treasurer.
Many of the faithful stayed on to watch "1967 Football Highlights": Burt '17 and Chet '19 Gale, Larry Robinson '22, TomVeling '37, Steve Cochrane '37, Herb Darling '26, and Jim Sullivan '40. There were even a few seconds of the Yale game.
Football Coach Bob Blackman will be the guest of the Club for dinner on February 6 - it is a pleasure to greet a man who has become a "legend in his own time" by giving the College thirteen straight winning seasons!
On Thursday, March 28, we will host the "Dartmouth Today" program which has been offered to us by the College. Donald L. Kreider, chairman of the Department of Mathematics, Henry L. Terrie Jr., chairman of the Department of English, and William B. Blanchard '68, president of the senior class, will present short talks followed by a question and answer period. Make a note on your calendar today for this special event.
