Lawrence-Lowell

The annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of the Merrimack Valley (Lowell-Lawrence, Mass.) was held on December 7 at the Rolling Green Motor Inn in Andover. Nominating Committee Chairman John C.Reardon '36 recommended the following slate for the year 1968: President Daniel B.Goggin '57, Lowell; vice president, BenjaminC. Bixby '57, Haverhill; treasurer, Joel Shyvitz '58, Lowell; secretary, John S. Sullivan'36, Andover, and executive committee, Rev. Clinton Carvell '18, North Andover; WilliamH. Keller '30, Methuen; John C. Reardon'36, Lawrence; Joseph Donahue '46, Lowell; Dr. Calvin Perry '57, Andover; David C.Tomlinson '60, North Andover; and ThomasReilly '60, Tewksbury.

Dean Thaddeus Seymour was the guest speaker and all club members enjoyed his comments on the College scene and the difficult problems facing school administrators today.

The members expressed a desire for the club to consider a spring social event, such as a dance, and one is now being planned. The club officers will also seek to broaden participation on the part of the membership.
