A very nice note from Mrs. Rhoda Howard Mac Duff. You folks all remember her father, "Pip" Howard, who for several years was our Class Secretary before Pray Wadham took over. Mrs. Mac Duff tells of Pip's grandchildren now graduating or married and herself a 35-year graduate of B.U. We are sorry she cannot be with us in June.

In the January MAGAZINE as you remember there was a special article and photograph of Gink Ford. Since then at the reopening and restoration of the old Ford Theatre in Washington, D. C., Gink was there and took part in the celebration. He also appeared on the television in connection with the ceremonies. I have received several newspaper clippings from different parts of the country telling of him, his family and the old theatre. We all hope to see him in June to tell us all about it and his trip. His father was manager and his uncle operator of the theatre when President Lincoln was assassinated there. It makes us feel a bit on the ancient side. He wrote a good letter of his trip which I will try to preserve for him to read us at the Reunion.

Ned Kenerson also wrote a letter just received and seems as interested in making the Reunion as much a success as do we. Ned surely picked the right location to get away from the worst winter I can remember around here.

The Reunion is coming along, small maybe in number but high in quality. Our associate Lew Haney was slowed down by the flu the first couple of months but is back at his good work at last reports.

When these notes are taken care of I plan to write Mr. McFate, our host at the new Inn, as to our class dinner in the Drake Room, Saturday evening, June 15. It will be a good one. He and David Orr '57 are going all-out to make this last Reunion something to remember a long time.

The Alumni Fund campaign will be in full swing when you get these notes. Early indications right now when I am writing would indicate a somewhat slow start but what has come in is a bit ahead of what it was at the same stage last year. For our class our important need is participation to help out for our smaller base.
