The sympathy of the Class goes to Henry E. Meleney and family in the loss of his wife Genevra who died on June 24. She had been in frail health for a long time. Ed brought her ashes north in July to Vineyard Haven, Mass., and interred them in the family plot on the Vineyard where his parents and two brothers are buried. He spent a month with his brother George '23 and other relatives at Oak Bluffs, Mass., and then his son drove him back to his Gainesville, Fla., home to resume his duties at the University of Florida Medical School.

Congratulations are in order for Stanleyand Ella Leighton who celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on October 25. Ella suffered a heart attack at their summer home on Seaconset Island, Mashpee, Mass., and spent most of July in the Falmouth Hospital. She returned to her summer home upon discharge from the hospital and at last reports was making a good recovery.

Wilbur and Anna Bull celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on June 17, 1969 at their home "Cloudcroft," Etna, N. H. Their children held open house for them on the 15th and more than 175 signed the guest book. Wilbur received a certificate making him an honorary member of the White Church. On July 10, Wilbur was taken to the Mary Hitchcock Hospital at 4:00 a.m. with a severe coronary. He remained there until August 16 under intensive care when he was allowed to return to "Cloudcroft" with the stipulation that he would rest and have no visitors. Late reports are that he is making progress but is still very weak.

Frank and Constance Austin are back at their Green Cove Springs, Fla., home after a two-month tour of Russia and France.

Albert W. Bates and cousin Mrs. Hayward enjoyed a month's tour of the British Isles following the 60th reunion.

Dean Francis H. Bird has returned from a two months' trip in which he visited England, Wales, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Poland, and Denmark.

Kenneth E. Root "Nut" had to spend some time in the hospital this summer as he fell and reinjured his back besides cutting his cheek open. He is getting around with the aid of a cane.

The Lynde Tuckers have joined the growing group of apartment dwellers and are in Apt. 703, 70 Barker St., Mt. Kisco, N. Y. 10544.

Thomas O. Parker has moved back to New London, N. H., where he lived from 1921-1931 when he was a professor at Colby Academy. His address is Box 254, New London, N. H. 03257.

Head Agent Stanley W. Leighton and his assistants extend their thanks to the 45 classmates, 36 widows and two children who contributed to the 1969 Alumni Fund. There are also four memorial funds which gave the class a total count of 87 for participation.
