Don't forget the Medical School Alumni Association meeting and the dedication of the Nathan Smith Chair of Medicine on Monday, May 19. Expected speakers are Dr. Colin M. MacLeod of the Commonwealth Fund, New York; Dar. W. I. Cranston of London, England, and Dr. Lars Werkö of Sweden. On Tuesday, May 20, at 8:00 p.m. in Kellogg Auditorium the Annual Medical School Lecture will be given by Dr. René Dubos.

Spencer Snedecor M'21 was recently honored by a well-deserved article in a national publication for his past and continuing work in overseas missionary hospitals and in his community of Hackensack.... Sam KatzM'50, now Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics at Duke, came north to deliver a lecture on viral immunization in Burlington. ... Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation lectures kept Bill Cummings M'50, now anesthesiologist at Springfield's Mercy Hospital, busy in the early part of the year. ... We have received the M'52 newsletter from Alfie Holt with details of all his classmates. Other than the one from John McGowan M'65 for his class, this is the only one we have had to enjoy. When we learn what responsible posts are filled by the worrisome members of M'52 of 17 years ago, we come to believe that it may have been worthwhile!

Dick Carleton M'53 is becoming more famous as a member of a heart transplant team in Chicago. ... Phil Mossman M'56 is in Minneapolis in P.M. & R. and will join the Kenny Institute staff after a year at the University Another DMS'er at the University of Minnesota is John Kersey M' 62, who is doing a pathology residency and some teaching. ... Rog Christian M' 63 has taken his bride Ann back to Boston where he is doing a surgical residency at Peter Bent Brigham and Ann is doing clinical nursing at Children's Medical Center. ... Bill Christensen M'65 expects to move from Albuquerque in July to complete his internal medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill No less a sheet than the New York Times carried a full-page story, complete with pictures, of the activities of our own Eric White M'65 in the emergency room of Roosevelt Hospital. ... Somehow we missed the Pasadena, Calif., wedding last June of Mike Ascher M'66 to Britt Gordon, with John Davenport M'66,Garth Gregory M'66, and Skip Mosher M'66 there to support him. We learned of it at the Hanover wedding of Skip Mosher M'66 to Kathy Mazu on February 22. Present at that affair were: Wendy Clough Benz M'66,Tina Clark M'66, Judy Lamar M'67, MikeAscher M'66, and Steve Sherman M'66 Bill Bruner M'68, Ham Lokey M'68, and John Taylor M'68 used a break in classes to renew their youth in Hanover.
