Ellie Noyes Takes New DCAC Post

Elliot B. (Ellie) Noyes '32, a member of the Dartmouth coaching staff since 1932 and head coach of track and cross country since 1945, has been named administrative assistant in the Dartmouth athletic complex.

Noyes in June will close out 25 years as coach of Dartmouth's track and cross-country teams. In his new position he will have responsibilities as business manager for the Athletic Council, including coordination of ticket sales. He will retain his position as assistant director for freshman athletics, a post he has held since 1954.

Kenneth T. Weinbel, Noyes' assistant for the past year, who came to Dartmouth in 1968 after developing championship track and cross-country teams during six years at Colby College, will succeed Noyes as coach of track and cross country at Dartmouth.
