Six seniors and six graduate students at the College have been selected to receive grants from the National Science Foundation for the 1969-70 academic year. The six seniors and the universities at which they will study next year are: Jacob Bergmann of Abington, Pa., Massachusetts Institute of Technology; J. Lawrence Carter of Ardmore, Pa., University of California at Berkeley; Chester I. Palmer of Portland, Me., and James V. Staros of Pensacola, Fla., both Yale University; Stephen J. Entin of Fairhaven, Mass., University of Chicago; and Paul R. Pillar of Livonia, Mich., Princeton University.
Two graduate students who will receive new awards next year are John S. Cook of Hamilton Square, N. J., in mathematics, and Bradley J. Sullivan of North Attleboro, Mass., in psychology. Continuation of previous grants have been awarded to Richard I. Gisselquist of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. James Geiser of New York, N. Y., David A. Brubaker of Carlisle, Pa., all in mathematics, and David W. Towle of Concord, N. H., in the biological sciences.
Six other students at the College received honorable mention from the National Science Foundation.
