Time Capsule '69
MAY 1969

The Class of 1969, as part of its participation in the College's Bicentennial Celebration, is planning to place a Time Capsule twenty feet below ground level in the Bema at the foot of Observatory Hill. This Capsule will contain assorted letters, books, and "artifacts" peculiar to the age in which we live. There will be a plaque on the surface indicating the location of this Capsule and denoting the year 2169 as the excavation date.

In order to involve the entire College community in this project, the Class, of 1969 is asking for the assistance of all willing alumni. What is desired is for each alumnus to write a letter discussing a topic of interest to him, and to send this letter, along with suggestions for articles to be included in the Capsule, to:

NORMAN A. JACOBS '69

4 Occom Ridge

Hanover, New Hampshire 03755.

The letters will be microfilmed and enclosed in the Capsule. In order to allow sufficient time for the processing, the letters should reach Hanover by May 25, 1969. The Capsule itself will be lowered into the ground at 4:30 p.m. on Class Day, Friday, June 13.
