JUNE 1969 KENNETH W. LUNDSTROM '55

Secretary, 1035 Graylyn Rd., Wilmington, Del. 19803

Our annual dinner meeting, originally scheduled for April 21, was postponed because our speaker, Dean Rahmeier, expected to have visitors in his office on that day from the Hanover chapter of the SDS. As we write this, that sit-in is over, and Dean Rahmeier was scheduled on May 19 to give us a firsthand account of recent events at Dartmouth. Because the deadline for this issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE was prior to May 19 details of the annual meeting will be reported later.

E. Norman Veasy '54, a Wilmington lawyer, will direct a governor's task force charged with reducing the number of state agencies in Delaware. Previously Norm was in charge of research for the New Day for Delaware Committee, which recommended changes in the the state government structure several years ago. He is also a former chief deputy attorney general, and one of the authors of the proposed revision of the state criminal code. Also, we note that Richard T. Gardner '55 and his wife have been digging into things in Dover, Del. They recently served as co-chairmen of the Third Annual Delaware Archeological dinner.

We will miss Joel Poorman '54 who has been transferred to South America. While in Wilmington area Joel served as secretary, then president of the Dartmouth Club of Delaware and was a leader in developing a strong enrollment program. In his new position Joel will expand international horizons for the duPont Company.

A warm welcome to the following alumni who have recently moved into our area: Timothy P. Hagan '64, Wilmington; ThomasD. Lips '66, Wilmington; and Lt. Samuel T.Robertson 3rd '67, Dover AFB.
