Dartmouth's squash team finished with a 5-7 record and had to settle for ninth place in the Intercollegiate Squash Association championship meet. The Indians' captain, Geoff Scott, dropped from the fifth-place ranking he has held for two years, to sixth among the individual leaders.
The Dartmouth wrestlers snapped a string of 21 straight losses as they took a 44-0 win over a weak Holy Cross squad. A win is a win, though, and the efforts of 134-pounder Bob Elliott and freshmen Ted Thompson and Wayne Gregg give Coach Gary Golden reason for optimism.
Dartmouth's no-budget, enthusiastic gymnastics team was the host for the Ivy League championship meet and the Indians finished second to defending champion Cornell. But they came up with the top all-around gymnast in Tom Weigle, a junior from Hanover, who won similar honors in the New England meet.
