Walt Freedman '60 was in charge of the Second Annual Dartmouth-Skidmore Dance, which was held on October 3 at the Arts Club. Approximately 125 people partook of the music, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments. Jim Bovaird '51 was seen leaving with a golf bag containing a matched set of clubs, which he reported he had won in the raffle. Paul Fee '6l won a color TV set.
On Saturday November 22, Doug Smith'54 hosted the live TV coverage of the Dartmouth-Princeton game in Palmer stadium which was shown at the Continental Hotel. This spectacular was a joint venture of the Chicago Dartmouth and Princeton Clubs and enticed 160 people, all but 30 of whom were Dartmouth. Since there was a bar, the affair was a great success even though the team lost. Next year we hope to have a repeat of the party coupled with a win over the Princeton Tigers.
In spite of the fact that many offices were closed on December 26, the Club held its annual Father-Son Luncheon at the Chicago Athletic Club. A fine host of Dartmouth speakers were present: Jim Hutchinson Jr. '69, John Chamberlain '70, Dan Radakovich '71, and Leon Turkevich '72. Approximately 90 fathers and sons were present. Cort Horr '18 and George Woodruff '18 claimed the prize for the oldest present and Clark Burner '86 was the youngest.
