Harold M. Kaplan '30 is co-author of "Microbodies of Soybean Cotyledon Mesophyll" in Transactions of the Illinois StateAcademy of Science, Vol. 64, 1971.

Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania 1965, Professor of Anthropology at Harvard University and Curator of Near Eastern Archaeology at Harvard's Peabody Museum, C. C. Lamberg-Karlovsky '59, with his wife Martha as co-author, has written for the June issue of Scientific American "An Early City in Iran: Tepe Yahyā, Midway Between Mesopotania and India, Was a Busy Center of Trade 5,500 Years Ago. An Outpost of Mesopotamian Urban Culture, It Played a Key Role in the Spread of Civilization from West to East."

'Joint Development of Siberia: Decision-Making in Japanese-Soviet Relations" by David I. Hitchcock '50 appeared in the March 1971 issue of Asian Survey. Mr. Hitchcock, Acting Public Affairs Officer at the U. S. Embassy in Tokyo, did the research for his article at Johns Hopkins University during the course of a year's academic leave from the Foreign Service.
