Two appointments to the Library staff have been announced by Edward Connery Lathem, College Librarian.
Miss Phyllis E. Jaynes has been named Engineering and Business Li- brarian. She will work toward the merging of the Tuck School and Thayer School libraries and plan the actual move of the combined collection into the Murdough Center when it is com. pleted. For the past three years, Miss Jaynes, a Michigan native with a graduate degree in Library Science from Rutgers University, has been in Ethiopia as assistant librarian at Haile Selassie I University.
Mrs. June I. Hicks, formerly Dartmouth's Biomedical Librarian, has been appointed an Assistant Librarian. She is in charge of the public-service departments within Baker Library and of educational services generally. She is also responsible for coordinating and administration of branch libraries. Mrs. Hicks received her Master of Library Science degree from the University of Texas. She has been on the Baker staff since 1961.
