The Charles River Dartmouth Club began its 36 th year with the annual meeting and election of officers on Tuesday, December 1, 1970, at the Weston Country Club in Weston, Mass. Elected for the two year term were: President, William N. Jacobs '47; Ist vice president, RobertArmknecht '60; 2nd vice president, Robert Harvey '47; secretary, Philip A. Christophe '54; treasurer, Austin L. Baker'41.

Directors: Kenneth Sorlien '43, Theodore Munro '44, Robert Hailer '46, John Whitman '46, Robert Swift '49, Joseph Baker '51, John Hatch '51, Donald Smith '53, George Peters '55, David Chapin '58, Joseph Slotnick '58, Walter Yusen '58, John Benson '60.

In his inaugural address PresidentJacobs committed his leadership to the expansion of alumni participation at club meetings and the involvement of the club with college undergraduates to develop a closer relationship to current activities at the College and pave the way for greater interest of young alumni in club programs.

Director Walter Yusen '58 reported on the Alumni Ski Weekend, a new Dartmouth event to be held March 6 and 7, 1971. Organized by the alumni, the weekend will include two nights' lodging and dinner at the Hanover Inn, Dartmouth Skiway skiing with races by the participants and a Saturday evening entertainment program. The price for two will be $80.00.

The Class of 1954 earned special recognition for the largest contingent at the meeting, Dick Eaton, Don Keller, Dick Page, and Phil Christophe.

Al Merrill, Director of Outdoor Activities and Head Ski Coach at the College, was guest speaker and he entertained all with his North Country report on the many and varied activities of the Outing Club and of course his keen views on what makes Dartmouth ski teams so successful. Coach Merrill found a receptive audience in Weston and was last seen leading an eager band of members North to the slopes.
