ATTENDANCE AT THE CLASS REUNIONS May 15, 16, 17 is not expected to be as large as other years owing to busy and distant duties of many of the younger alumni, and difficulties that handicap the participation by members of the older classes. However, there will be reunions and in some of the classes the attendance forecasts are surprisingly optimistic. Here is additional evidence that a return to Hanover for a weekend is regarded as a good tonic by many Dartmouth men. For all who can come back this brief message is to assure them of a warm welcome and of a simplified reunion program that will be just as enjoyable if not as exciting or festive in all respects as in past years.

Meetings of the Alumni Council, of class and alumni club secretaries, class agents and class treasurers will also be held May 15-16.

A special feature of the week-end will be the alumni luncheon program on which the remarks of the speakers will be largely keyed to the War, and to the place of education and the liberal college both in the immediate and long-term future.

The Athletic Council announces a baseball game for the Saturday afternoon class reunions, May 16, with an opponentHoly Cross—that will test the noted coaching skill of Jeff Tesreau and the talent of his Big Green team to the full. The reception by President and Mrs. Hopkins to be followed by an alumni dance Friday evening, May 15, the ball game, alumni luncheon and class dinners on the following day, will be highlights of a week-end program that promises to provide fine entertainment to those who can come back to Hanover later this month. The binder that always makes a Dartmouth class reunion a most memorable occasion is the constant reuning and conversation with classmates long not seen. This in itself, and especially in these times, makes a reunion week-end eminently worthwhile.
