The Rochester Club has had a busy fall. Bob Paterson '64 organized a family picnic at Ellison Park that was a big success. An excellently catered dinner gave the mothers a day off from their household chores.

President Frank Strong '56 attended the Club Officers Weekend in Hanover during House Parties. In addition to bringing back much information of interest, he issued a glowing report about the 1970 football team. Consequently, a large contingent journeyed to Ithaca for the Cornell game.

A rendezvous on the Cornell Campus, arranged by Ken Krupa '61, provided the background for an excellent tailgate luncheon. The Big Green did not disappoint its supporters with its performance against Cornell.

Before the snows blew in off Lake Ontario, Dartmouth won the local Ivy League Golf Tournament. Wally Ashnault '53 led a large contingent to a decisive victory, and the trophy is back in the fold.

Vin Tibbals '42 and Mike Buckley '65 have developed an effective enrollment organization. In early December, a Family Night Program was held for prospective applicants and their families. Jay Evans'49 from the Admissions Office conducted the major part of the program, which was well received by a group in excess of 100. A protege of Vin's and Mike's a year ago, who matriculated in September, has been named the recipient of the Dartmouth Club of Rochester Regional Scholarship Award. Peter Schlachter '74 thus became the sixth recipient of this award. Don Hill '54, the original recipient of the award, is making his annual appeal for contributions to further this program. Don does an excellent job of administering the scholarship fund.

Vice-President John Schlachtenhaufen '61 recently completed the editing of a directory of all Dartmouth alumni in the Rochester area. Ray Gale '54 undertook the responsibility of getting the directories printed. The fine efforts of these men have resulted in every member having one of these excellent directories.

During the holidays a large turnout enjoyed a luncheon organized by CurtLittle '64. Professor Charles Wood from the history department spoke about coeducation. Undergraduate Bob Deyle '72 and Sally Branch, an exchange student from Wellesley attending Dartmouth, also participated in the program. After a lively discussion on this vital issue, the sentiments of the alumni were polled. These feelings will be expressed at the next Alumni Council Meeting by Frank Hutchins '45, who was in attendance. Also in attendance was Steve Kepes '72, who recently became a member of the executive committee. It is hoped that his addition will provide better contact with campus activities and attitudes.

Chairmen Bob Brown '60 and StaffKrause '57 are working diligently to prepare for the Glee Club's visit on March 21.
