By the time this column is printed, Dean John Hennessey will have visited alumni groups in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Dinners on consecutive evenings at these far-flung but very important outposts of Tuck alumni affairs were arranged by RodPlimpton T'64 and John Trauth T'66 in San Francisco and Jerry Greenfield T'65 in Los Angeles. Hopes ran high for large attendance in both cities and as more students come to Tuck from West Coast schools and want to return to work on the Coast, alumni affairs should increase significantly.
In Minneapolis, led by George Fulton,Roger Magenau and Craig Tanner, all members of the most recent graduating class of 1970, alumni will meet in February to begin another new alumni organization. With over one hundred alumni in the Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul are becoming major factors in alumni affairs.
Chicago and Boston follow suit in February and March, and this will make a total of seven alumni dinners around the country. Some groups are already planning a second round and Tuck faculty and administrators look forward to increased involvement with alumni. Incidentally, the Washington debate was a great success. Professors Brian Quinn and Peter Williamson debated the subject, Resolved: That Tuck should be a school of management rather than a school for business administration; and interested alumni carried on the discussion for another two hours after the debate. The same format may be used on other subjects at subsequent meetings of alumni organizations.

Al joined the company in 1965 as a financial analyst and has held several other positions with the treasurer's and controller's office before being named to his present post.
A much earlier report last year, but one we missed, reflects a change in occupation for John Roseboom T'43. After 14 years with Booz-Allen and Hamilton, John moved to the state of South Carolina and has joined the State Development Board as assistant director for research. He will head the board's research division in its function of gathering marketing facts for industrial prospects and as a support group to other board operations and programs. He achieved club and conference honors in his first full year of eligibility with the company. Another member of the same firm, Mar-shall Belding T'so placed second nationally in percentage-of-goal achieved during the company's annual sales campaign- Marshall, a chartered life underwriter, is also a member of the President's Club and works out of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The wedding of Frank Sokol T'64 to Mimi Davis a few months ago can accurately be reported as a Tuck occasion, for on hand for the happy event were Dick Godschalk T'62, Simms Browning T'63, Pete Lengyel T'64, Dave June T'64, Barry Linsky T'64, and Bob Needham T'64.
That's the news for this month. Best regards from the hills.
