Briefly Noted

President Emeritus John Sloan Dickey '29, Bicentennial Professor of Public Affairs, who has been pursuing his special interest in U.S.-Canadian relations as a Senior Fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations, has recently published two articles on that subject. "Canada Independent" appeared in the July 1972 issue of Foreign Affairs, and in the Spring 1972 issue of the InternationalJournal of the Canadian Institute of International Affairs he wrote "The Relationship in Rhetoric and Reality: Merchant-Heeney Revisited," one of nine articles in an issue devoted to "Canada and the United States." President Dickey is continuing both his studies and writing in the field of U.S.-Canadian relations, and a book, likely to be one of the most authoritative on the subject, is being planned.
