After a short summer vacation, the Dartmouth Club of Philadelphia is starting off in high gear with its activities for the '72-73 season. On September 9 our annual "summer family picnic" combined both a farewell to summer and a send-off get-together for members of the Class of '76. Twice shot down in June by Hurricane Agnes, we were assured by Hugh Kenworthy '41 that his country estate would be bathed in sunshine this time and all enjoyed lots of swimming, volleyball, music, hotdogs and beer.

Earlier this summer the Club's entry in the Philadelphia Area Club Softball League made another strong showing behind the keen hurling of Scott Creelman '64 and sharp fielding of Robby Cox '62. New faces on the team included Ken Kotowski'68, Tim Barnard '66 and Tom Quinn '70. Losing in the semi-finals of the playoffs this year, we hope to go all the way next year.

Thinking of going all the way, the Big Green eleven intends to close out an undefeated season in Philadelphia on November 25 against the Penn Quakers. And right after the game all Dartmouth alumni, family and friends will be able to celebrate this feat at the post-game cocktail party sponsored by the Dartmouth Club of Philadelphia and held in the Upper Egyptian Room of. the University of Pennsylvania Museum, located directly across from Franklin Field. It's a great time for renewing old acquaintances and seeing who is in town for the game. Don't miss it!

New club officers for. the year include Paul Erwin, Jr. '49, president; BillColehower '59, vice president; BruceMcKissock '66, secretary; Samuel Parke,Jr. '60, treasurer; and with Hugh Kenworthy '41, Dongkyu Bak '59, ScottCreelman '64 and Drew Newman III '74 rounding out the Executive Committee.
