It only happens once in a while that the first Tuesday of a month, our regular monthly luncheon date, falls on a holiday. It did this year, on July 4, so we missed our get-together. All luncheons this year have been well attended, by April our winter visitors had begun to depart but we seated 19 at both April and May luncheons.

The increase in attendance this year seems to be due to the interesting and informative discussions of Dartmouth today, and how our Club can make our views, as a representative group of the alumni family, felt by the administration and other policy-making bodies. Reports are due at our next meeting from President Lowell Wormley '27 and Duncan Newedd '36 on statement filed by them with the administration reflecting the opinion of our club that the present trend towards lowering requirements for either admission or for a degree in favor of any disadvantaged group, or the setting up of any separate facilities, either educational or social, for any special group, can only lead to the strengthening of the separatist movement, and weaken the goal of integration.

The above action was approved unanimously at the meeting on May 2, 1972.

We expect all future meetings, luncheons, will be just as interesting and informative. We welcome our winter visitors and hope they show up in large numbers.
