In late January, it now looks as though some 200 members of the class family will attend our Festive Fiftieth, June 9, 10, 11. Ike Miller has pared the reunion tax down to the core; it will be $40.00 per person. And that will include meals and practically all other expenses, except room charges, for the weekend. Rooms in Massachusetts Hall, Hitchcock and other dormitories will be $5.00 per night per person. You will receive dormitory room reservation forms from the College well in advance of June 9, 10, 11. Payments for a dormitory room should be made in full when the reservation request is returned to the College. Rooms at the Hanover Inn should be paid for at the Inn or at the Motor Lodge if you stay there. In all, Reunion will cost no more, and probably considerably less, than a weekend in any sizable city. The difference at Reunion will be Hanover in the springtime and the companionship of friends who know and love you best. You cannot get that at any other time or place.

Bob Clark and Carter Hoyt scared the daylights out of '22 just as our Fiftieth Reunion Year began. Bob underwent major surgery in the Danbury (Conn.) Hospital. He returned home a few weeks later with promising prospects for a most favorable convalescence which we all hope has now fully occurred. Carter, '22's dedicated Head Class Agent, entered the Monadnock (Peterborough, N. H.) Hospital under emergency with pneumonia and a heart complication. The crises passed and he began to improve about a week later. He returned home in late February and the entire Class will be pleased to know he is progressing very favorably. Both Grace Clark and Allie Hoyt want the Class to know their appreciation for the many helpful and encouraging messages classmates sent to Bob and Carter. Every Twoter now eagerly hopes the Clarks and the Hoyts will be with us at the Fiftieth.

Oscar Rice, just as these notes go to press, is reported to be in Hanover's Mary Hitchcock Hospital recovering from surgery. Oscar, we definitely need you and Bea that second weekend in June. Get well soon.

Some '22 birds flew to Florida or at least so intended: Bill and Trudy Bullen, Camp and Elizabeth Campbell, Jack and Fran Dodd, Carroll and Nan Dwight, Bill and Dot Gallagher, Jack and Audrey Hazel tine, Frank and Betty Horan, Killy and Elizabeth Kilmarx, Ed and Kay McNamara, Larry and Jeanne Robinson, Walt and Doris Sands, George Shattuck, Ozzie and Lucile Siegfried.

Some flew West: Gene and NettieHotchkiss to California and later to the Mediterranean and Isles of Greece, Dickand Mary Litchfield to Tucson; HarveyMoses likewise; Stan and CatherineMiner to Florida, Arizona and California, then back east to Switzerland.

Some all directions: Bob and FrancesBartiett—"Down Under" and the Orient; Francis and Mae Cullen—around the world; Wayne and Dorothy Shirley—the Mediterranean; Jim and Margaret Moody—People's Republic of China; Hermand Flo Oliver—Madeira and St. Maarten, West Indies; Ralph and Mildred Totman, Canary Islands.

And some returned, perhaps long since, to their nests: Elmer and Frances Ardiff from Russia—"What we saw did not incite any urge to live there"; John and HelenBray—England and Switzerland; Harryand Peg Bruckner—Scandinavia; Haskelland Harriet Cohn—he attended the American Bar Association meeting in London, but the itinerary also included Norway, Berlin and Warsaw; Tony andEleanor Hanlon—lreland, Scotland, England; Shaw Livermore—France and Norway; Andy and Charlotte Marshall—Pacific cruise—"wonderful trip"; West andPeg Nutten—two months cruise on coast of Europe; Spic and Mildred Saunders—Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, "a great trip"; Shep and Margaret Shepard and family—a "fabulous" photographic safari in East Africa; Charlie and Miriam Throop—Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia. Finally, Len and Margaret Morrissey—lreland, the South and West of her, that is. And now all flights are due back to Hanover for June 9, 10, 11.

Dr. Nick Giorgio left us on January 5 and '22 thereby lost one of its well-known M.D.'s. An obituary will appear in this issue or later.

The Class also offers it belated sympathy to George Weed upon the passing of his wife Ethel. George now lives at 10009 Granda Bay, Lake Worth, Fla. 33460.

With the Fiftieth on stage June 9, 10, 11, our annual Little Reunion on April 21, 22 will offer a low-key prelude to the masterpiece. If you would like a room for the congenial and relaxing April weekend at the Hanover Inn, call Hanover 603-643-4300 and ask for Florence Carey or Barbara Stowe and be sure to identify yourself as Class of '22. If you write, Hanover's zip code is 03755. Many of us hope to see you there on April 21, 22.

Dr. Bob Bradish, Fayetteville, N. C., says "Vera and I hope very much to be at the Fiftieth in June. I have always loved Dartmouth and I look forward to seeing all our fine class at Reunion." Thanks, Bob, you speak for all of us.
