The College again honored one of its most loyal alumni last month in a Hanover ceremony at which Charlie Zimmerman '23 received the Dartmouth Alumni Award. He had been award- ed an honorary degree at the time of his 50th Reunion last June, and this time heard a citation lauding his years as a Trustee, and including these words: "You led the College in the successful Alumni Fund Campaigns of 1950 and 1951. You became an Overseer of Tuck School in 1951 and president of your class in 1954. You were chairman of the seventeen-million-dollar Capital Campaign which exceeded by half a million the 1959 objective. During the midsixties the College began to plan its Bicentennial Year and from 1967 to 1970 you were chairman of the executive committee of the Bicentennial Year and from 1967 to 1970 you were chairman of the executive committee of the Bicentennial celebration which climaxed successfully on December 13, 1969, when the College marked the 200 th Anniversary of the granting of its charter . . ."
