Jersey City Grants
MARCH 1973

The Dartmouth Learning Center in Jersey City, operated by the Tucker Foundation is the recipient of four recently announced grants for this year.

The Turrell Fund of East Orange, N.J., has allocated $5000; the Louis D. Beaumont Foundation of Cleveland, $5000; the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation of New York City, $7500; and the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation of New York City, $7500. The last grant is ear-marked for the identification of students with potential in science, particularly chemistry; the others are to aid the continuing development of the center.

Last year more than 60 undergraduates earned credit for one or more academic terms working as resident tutors at the center and serving as teaching assistants in neighborhood schools.
