The regular January luncheon meeting was held on January 2 and was well attended.

The principal topic of discussion was the coming visit of George H. Colton '35, vice president of the College. President Lowell Wormley '27 had already accepted the opportunity of having him with us on the 20th, and it was decided to make it a luncheon with wives invited. Wayne Frerichs '46 made arrangements for us at the Phoenix Country Club and Frank Poor '26 and Bill Terry '13 were given the "go-ahead" from there.

The luncheon was an outstanding success, the arrangements at the club were perfect, and the steak luncheon was excellent.

It was the first time in many years that we have had one of the senior officers of the College with us. In spite of many of our regulars being sick or out of town there were 38 present.

George Colton is a delightful speaker and he fully lived up to his reputation. He covered thoroughly all aspects of the various developments of the past few years, and answered fully the many questions asked by members. He helped to renew our full confidence in the future of Dartmouth.

It was a real treat to have George with us and we hope that he will pay us another visit before too long.
