THE WOMEN

The women's winter intercollegiate athletic program has gotten off the ground with skiing, basketball and squash, and while basketball and squash are struggling due to natural first-year problems of generating sufficient manpower (or is that womanpower?), Coach Pam Reed's ski team has moved out in fine style.

Led by Judy Zimicki, Katy Spivey, Mary Heller, Kathy Murray-and Melinda Hungerford, the skiers have quickly gained competitive standing with Middlebury and the other established women's collegiate teams.
