D.C.B.C.'s second Mini-Alumni College was held at the Hackensack Golf Club January 13, providing a warming, scholastic interlude for more than 70 local alumni, wives and friends.

This year's session, devoted to "Mobility, Affluence and Alienation," provided a very ex- citing topic. The participants had prepared for the day by reading Vance Packard's "A Nation of Strangers" and Joyce Carol Oates "Expensive People."

The event was chaired by Art Toan '36 and BobLevine '54. Levine's accounting background gave him the abilty to poll the assembled group to determine the extent of mobility represented by attendees. The poll proved that most of those in attendance had moved many times but that their geographic mobility has been reduced in recent years, perhaps contrary to Mr. Packard's thesis.

The Club's fund raising endeavors will be focused this year on a combination wine-and-cheese-tasting party and art auction to be held on April 7 at Ramapo College, a joint event with the local Wellesley College Club. Dick Flicker '46, President of D.C. B.C. expects a large turnout of alumn and friends. The first part of the program will be devoted to wine-and-cheese tasting with a professional oenologist lecturing on the various wines offered. It is anticipated that the wine-tasting experience will increase the art appreciation of those present and yield dividends in the bidding during the art auction. Proceeds from the function will go to the Club's Scholarship Fund.
