Three Rasueros Volumes Presented to College
APRIL 1973

Jesus Ricardo Rasueros, the well-known Spanish poet, has made a gift to the College of three volumes of his poems, 2 cercos son corona,Vasconia, and Salamanca. The books, suitably inscribed by their author, were brought to Hanover by J. Douglas Floyd '75, who lived with the Rasueros family last fall while he was a member of the Dartmouth Foreign Study group in Salamanca.

The gift of these handsome volumes comes as an unexpected benefit from the Foreign Study Program. Since 1958, when the College began its operation in Salamanca, a number of undergraduates have lived with the Rasueros family. In the dedication of one of the books, Mr. Rasueros writes, "To Dartmouth College, a name which, because of our close association with many of her sons, has passed out of the category of the unknown, and entered into the affectionate daily vocabulary of our family."
