Pineo Jackson points out a typographical error in the April Alumni Magazine. In his quote of President Hopkin's address there appears the word lubrications instead of lucubrations. I am sure that President Hopkins would be more interested in laborious study than in oil. The error may very well have been due to your secretary.
Anyone calling at Scott Street in San Francisco expecting to see Carp will be disappointed, for he has moved to Laguna Street, a picture of which shows very rural surroundings.
Those of us who were accustomed to a weekly Dartmouth Magazine would be astonished at the Daily Dartmouth which is sent to your secretary by virtue of his being a class officer. It is an ambitious publication. The first page is occupied by material of interest to the College such as: the committee report on the reading by specific numbers. The second page contains an editorial and letters from other students. The third page is devoted to world news and the fourth page to the athletic contests. Often six pages are required to cover all their material. What a difference between our Weekly Dartmouth and this DailyDartmouth.
Whit Eastman, too, has a scrapbook of college days which he was going to present to the Library. He gave it to Russ Merideth first and Russ never turned it in as he wanted the scrapbook for his Christmas messages and Tenner Topics. It is now in the hands of its rightful owner.
With sorrow, addition is made to these notes, received May 2 from Dr. Thayer A. Smith. Word has been received of the death of the class secretary on May 5.
