Alumni Fund Award

George Price, Head Agent for the Class of 1935, received a 1972 Alumni Fund award at Class Officers Weekend, May 5, It was accompanied by this citation:

To someone who has worked as long and hard as Yank Price, we couldn't think of a better way to top off his distinguished term as Head Agent for the Class of 1935 than to present him with this award from the Alumni Fund Committee.

He finished his work as Head Agent by winning the Group IV Green Derby for 1935, and leading his class to a record $72,000 - the largest total ever raised by a non-reunion class. 1935, under his leadership, thus ranked second in Century Club men, first among all classes for total dollars, and fourth for major gifts at the $1,000 and up level. It is, therefore, a district privilege to salute Yank Price and all 1935 classmates with this Alumni Fund Committee award, which recognizes the outstanding contributions by a Head Agent and his Class to the annual Alumni Fund.
