Here's a great letter from Tower Snow: "Had a minute and thought I would drop a note. In 1960, following Horace Greeley's advice, Mardie and I started West but only got as far as Scottsdale, Arizona. We resumed our trip in January of this past year and finally reached the shores of the sunny Pacific. Found an attractive condominium townhouse in La Jolla, 8931 Caminito Fresco. (Zip is CA 92037). Our hume phone is 453-9168. Still with Connecticut Mutual, although afraid I am what you call semi-retired as primarily just taking care of my old clients and spending less time at the office and more on the golf course.

"Our daughter is married and living in Chicago and our son. Tower Jr., (Dartmouth '69) just graduated from Law School at the University of California at Berkeley and is now with the San Francisco firm of Orrick, Herrington, Rowley and Sutcliffe. Will have had both kids with us, and their mates or dates, for Christmas, for the first time in four years

"Had a card from Chuck Adkins recently ard he has moved to Green Valley, a retirement town south of Tucson. We see Vance and Libby Dickerman frequently here in San Diego. Vance is currently president of the San Diego Seniors Golf Association. Incidentally he still plays consistently in the mid 80's. Last summer the Dickermans and the Snows had a chance to see George Phillips at a very lovely shindig at his home to celebrate his retirement from the academic profession. Also see Rog and Mary Ellen Donner with whom we have an on and off bridge battle." Tower, thanks for the newsy note, and you get a whole bunch of extra brownie points. I hope a few other classmates will follow your example.

Mildred and Bob Powell sent out a Christmas newsletter from Reno. Following are some highlights: "Bob nears retirement age. Sea and Ski will retain him as a full time consultant until his replacement is found. His staff has increased and he has put in considerable overtime this year. Mildred still commutes to Carson City and travels the state. Bobby and Sue moved to U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis in August. Bobby is teaching chemistry to freshman naval cadets, having completed his Masters Degree at the University of Illinois in June. Susan and John Bunnell were married August 4th in Boulder, Colorado, and they have purchased a home in Denver not too far from the University of Colorado Medical School where Susan is enrolled for her first year." Thanks. Bob, for bringing us up to date. It was good to hear from ou.

From Ed Mecutcheon another Christmas newsletter, from which I quote: "Ed still bowls with the Dartmouth Alumni team (in Silver Maryland), handles enrollment activities and writes corny limericks. This summer Val and Ed visited Johnny and Nadine Peacockin Chicago, Bill and Mary Minehan in Wisconsin, and Dr. Joe and Vivian Rushton in Minnesota. Then they caught the AMTRAK for Seattle, touring to Vancouver and Victoria. On their return to Seattle they lunched with George Nickum and Jim Rice and talked old time. Next stop was San Francisco where Boband wilma Baumrucker drove them to Muir Woods to see the redwoods. Visiting a host of freinds in Southern California they came east through Texas to Georgia, stopping at Atlanta long enough to participate in a duplicate bridge tournament, where Ed and his partner came in first and Val and her partner came in second! They visited with Bill and Florence Marsh who gave them a short tour before putting them on the train. Next morning they were home safe and sound." It is interesting to note that they did not fly - they took the railroad. Really, a grand tour.

Thanks, you letter-writers, for all the good information. Now as for the rest of you - please follow suit.
