Between a class secretary and his classmates there can never be true correspondence; only guilt. If Lawrence Durrell didn't say that, he should have. Let us proceed ...
Bruce Saylor and his fiance, Pamela Henderson of Miami and Skidmore College, both attend the University of Miami Law School. Perhaps they are by this time man and wife. Perhaps not.
Most definitely so are Robert A. (Sparky)Millikin and Anne Whitney Fellows of Springfield, Vt., by reason of wedding September 22 at Jaffrey Center, N.H.
Mom and dad are Susie and Greg Church, son being Joshua, born August 29. Greg received his M.B.A. from Butler University in 1972 and now works for a bank in Elkhart, Ind. Susie says new Church has preempted work on new house.
Thomas English breaks cover long enough to report as follows: "I can assure you that the thankless (thank you, ed.) job of class secretary has no appeal for me (ditto, ed.)." Of his activities: "... anyone who would care probably already knows already. If you must say anything (we must, etc.), say that I am a professional amateur rugby player, and that until October 20, when I broke my arm, I was fully occupied as B side scrum captain of my team First Troop, Philadelphia City Cavalry.
"The real reason to write was to note that BillShattuck is reportedly sunning himself in Palo Alto, Calif., while pretending to be a student at Stanford Business School. Skip Sturman, contrary to my earlier information (inaccurate English? Never!), worked for a newspaper in upstate N.Y. but was reportedly thinking of quitting, to do what I don't know.
"Don McAmis has turned up in Washington, D.C., although what he does there I have not yet discovered. He often does it, however, with TomWalsh, F.P.C. lawyer and inside center for Sud Americano rugby club."
A delightful card, unmistakably the craft of Mark and Linda Hebenstreit, announces the birth of their daughter, Sharon Rebecca, and asks, "Please give thanks with us." Indeed we do.
Nearing a Ph.D. in applied mathematics at Berkeley is Ross Cirincionc. This will come as no surprise to those who remember Ross's perserverence and enthusiasm in Hanover.
Finally, two quick jottings from news releases: Paul Gormson has received the Norman Clapp Fellowship at Harvard Business School, awarded to an outstanding student from the Northwest who plans to return thither. Prior to his enrollment Paul wrote advertising for several Boston agencies and worked for the Business School as a tutor in English composition. Joseph Garrett has been appointed Commissioner of the Berkeley, California Housing Authority and the Berkeley Redevelopment Agency, the youngest appointee in the city's history.
O.K. In the interest of communication, we would like to initiate a small experiment - a monthly request for current news from selected subsets of '7os. This month, news is invited from any and every lad or lass who ever lost a gold ball on the 6th hole of the Hanover CC, or his or her innocence on the back 9. (You need specify neither which nor how.)
