THE DARTMOUTH COLLEGE CONFERENCE CENTER WAS estblished to invite you and organizations with which you are affiliated to meet in Hanover, N.H. - to use facilities of the College for conferences, seminars and meetings - to assist conference planners in setting up meetings and activities - and to assure that all conference participants, including the hosts, have a worthwhile and enjoyable experience in an exciting environment.
Dartmouth is proud to introduce these facilities and anxious to welcome you to the Lakes Region! We cannot possibly describe everything on this page so write to us for further details. Or call us at (603) 646-2895. Better yet - come up for a visit to see the facilities in person and discuss details and plans for your meeting. The Conference Center is in College Hall, diagonally across the street from the Hanover Inn.
IMAGINE the beautiful Hanover Inn. (No it isn't always full — just on football weekends, commencement, summer and a few fall foliage weekends.) Both a conference and a social center. Its public rooms and private rooms for close-knit groups are ideal for gatherings of all kinds. Dining. Picture the luxurious Hanover Inn Dining Room (at reasonable prices) plus several private dining facilities. How about the Dartmouth Outing Club on Occom Pond, or the Bema or Tommy Dent Cabin on the river for cookouts. Some groups like to eat in Thayer Dining Hall with the students (it's cheaper, too).
Meeting facilities all over the campus — or right in the Inn if you prefer. Rooms for large or very small groups. Most meeting and visual aids available. Need teletype facilities?
Could a faculty member be helpful to you? College Administrator? How about a seminar leader or a dinner speaker? Libraries might be helpful too. BakerLibrary holds just about everything — the new Feldberg Library at Tuck and Thayer, and Dana Medical cover the rest. They're all available to groups meeting in Hanover.
RECREATION? Hanover in the winter is beautiful - no need to think only of spring, summer and fall. The Dartmouth Skiway is minutes away and cross-country skiing is a way of life. Tennis anyone - golf, swimming, hiking - you name it, the Hanover area exults in it. HOPKINS CENTER with its concerts, theatre, art and photographic exhibits - and student contact - is a vital part of the Hanover scene.
PEACE AND SECLUSION ANYONE? The MinaryConference Center, pictured on left, on Squam Lake in Holderness, New Hampshire is superb! Absolutely perfect for small groups up to twenty. A place where concentration is encouraged - and possible. No outside distractions (except the sparkling beauty of a New England lake). We doubt if you can find a meeting location which offers a better environment and atmosphere for those who want to zero in on tough problems, and then have recreational facilities - tennis, swimming, boating, golf nearby - right at their doorstep. Only an hour from Hanover, two hours from Boston. It's a great place - winter, summer, spring or fall. Write for our descriptive brochure.
In its entirety, an impressive, complete conference center waiting toserve you and your organizations.
