CLUB OF THE YEAR! President MikeTravers '55, First Vice President Henry Weiss'60, Alumni Councilor Lloyd Krumm '38, Student Liaison Officer Peter Vigeland '77, and Secretary Bob Comer '55 were all on hand to hear those welcome words at the Club Officers Banquet on November 8 in Hanover. MikeMcGean '49, College Secretary, in presenting the award commented favorably on the DCBC's superlative activities in enrollment, membership, scholarship, communications and club purpose including alumni involvement.

Not resting on its laurels, the Club already conducted a fall event with the DOC and sponsored its fourth annual. Alumni College. Under the direction of Henry Weiss the seminar was titled "Communications" and featured Professors William M. Smith and Charles T. Wood talking to such issues as excessive control of the media and its role in subverting the political process.

Rev. Louis O. Springsteen '48, enrollment chairman, has held two enrollment meetings, the latest being over the Christmas holidays for interested students and their families. Interviewing Chairman Dick Flicker '46 reported that the DCBC had had eight early acceptances to Dartmouth our congratulations to these fine students and to Dick's busy interviewing corps.

The DCBC is well on its way to another banner year and thanks all those who helped in achieving Club of the Year status. Membership Chairman Russ Holmes '61 reports about a 12% increase in dues paying members this year and would happily accept new members arid donations to the Scholarship Fund (700 Waverly Road, Ridgewood, N.J.). Lastly, the Club plans a full scale flea market later in. the spring - another "first" for the DCBC and something that sounds like fun.
