The Magazine

With this issue the Magazine welcomes two new members to its staff, Shelby Grantham and Dan Nelson '75. Successors to the late Joan Hier, they will jointly edit class notes and obituaries and write about alumni and College news.

Holder of a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, Shelby Grantham has been a teacher, a printer, a calligrapher (see "The Seniors Writ Large" in the June issue), and a lecturer in the Dartmouth English Department.

Dan Nelson was one of last year's undergraduate editors, writing the "Undergraduate Chair" in alternate months and features on the College Grant and "God and Man at Dartmouth." An English-religion major, he also was an Outward Bound instructor. For the past several summers he served as a climbing guide on Mt. Rainier.
