The annual dinner of the Alumni Association of Eastern Massachusetts drew the largest crowd since 1971. More than 550 alumni attended the 112th affair at the Sheraton Boston on March 29. The annual attendance cup was awarded for the second straight year to the Class of '74.

Chris Nicholson '74, representing the Dartmouth Club at Harvard, presented President Kemeny with $2,000 in proceeds from the post-Harvard game endeavor last fall to be donated to the Tucker Foundation for two fellowships in work toward "meaningful social change." President Kemeny highlighted the decision of the Board of Trustees to reaffirm the goal of the College. Afterwards, the Glee Club, directed by Professor Paul R. Zeller, performed on the last stop of its spring tour. President Robert W.Carver '55 recounted the excellent work of JohnK. Benson '31 as job placement chairman in matching all desiring students with employment.

Nominating committee chairman Robert D.Brace '52 announced the new slate of officers and executive committee members-at-large and noted the outstanding service of former treasurer Charles A. Morrison '54. He is succeeded by Carl S. DuRei '64. Also leaving the board were Margery Feldberg '74, Robert G.Armknecht '60, and newsletter editor Thomas B.Gibson '73.

Mac Donald '66, new Minute Man president, Jody Hill '74, also treasurer of the Hub Club, and Paul Spiers '47, appointed last fall to the position of public information officer. The 1976-1977 officers are: president, Robert A. Danziger'56; vice presidents, Jonathan Strong '56, HarryBruckner Jr. '60, and John O. Parker '58; treasurer, Carl S. Dußei '64; and secretary, Garret Rasmussen '71.
