It seems best to remind you of the change in the publication schedule of the Magazine that was instituted a year ago eliminating the July issue and replacing it with a September issue. No class notes will appear in the September issue, but June reunions will be reported in detail along with a list of fall reunions and other items of interest.

Since I am writing these notes on May Day (May 1), it is certainly premature but it is my last opportunity to remind you of the plans for the 1933 fall reunion. As reported in the December, 1975 notes and as Bob Fox mentioned in his November 26, 1975 issue of the newsletter, we will again get together after the Harvard game (in Hanover) on October 16 for cocktails and dinner at the "Vermont Room," Hotel Coolidge, White River Jet., Vt. This is a private room offering exclusive use by 33'ers, plus wives and guests, immediately after the game, including a special cash bar and a good and reasonably priced dinner menu. Even though October 16 may be a little late for the height of the fall foliage, the Harvard game is always a "block-buster" and we hope that as many of you as can will plan to attend the game and join us after the game at the "Coolidge." It will be good to see you and it will be helpful if you will let me know by letter or telephone (802-649-1924) as soon as your plans are complete.

Two more members of the Class have been given special recognition and honors. Our heartiest congratulations to both of them -

As noted last month, the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Hanover proclaimed April 10, 1976 as Forrest P. Branch Day in appreciation of the 38 years Forrie has served his community with honor and distinction as teacher, coach and citizen, and more than 500 friends and fans attended a testimonial banquet in the Thompson Arena. The class was represented at the testimonial banquet by Wes andJan Beattie, Jack and Dorothy Manchester,Jack and Madge Wright, and Jud Pierson.

Bob Swinehart has been honored by being named president of The American Association of Orthodontists, with headquarters in St. Louis, Mo. (8,000 members). Bob had practiced orthodontics since his graduation from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1937. In addition to his private practice in Baltimore, Md., Bob has been a part-time associate professor of clinical orthodontics at the University of Maryland. His professional society memberships include: American Dental Association, The American Association of Orthodontists, The American Board of Orthodontics, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American College of Dentists, the Baltimore City Dental Society, and the Maryland State Dental Society.

Bob and Eleanor have two children, Patricia and Peter, and they reside at 5504 Roland Ave., Baltimore, Md. 21210.

Incidentally, Jack Manchester formally retired March 31, 1976 from "Manchester's Gulf' in Hanover, and his son Johnny, is now running the Station. Jack returned recently from a week in Hawaii, courtesy of Gulf.

On March 18 at the Sheraton-Edgewater Beach Inn in Naples, Fla., I had the pleasure along with a number of other alumni from the Dartmouth Club of Southwest Florida to discuss with Bob Kaiser '39, executive secretary of the Dartmouth Bequest and Estate Planning Program, the many advantages of endowing annual gifts to the Alumni Fund and the mutual benefits of Life Income Trusts to alumni and to the College.

All best wishes for a good summer, and do try to attend the fall reunion in Hanover on October 16. Don't forget the 1976 Alumni Fund —if you haven't already done so - and please consider adding seven to 10 per cent to your last year's gift to help 1933 reach our goal of $55,000 - before June 30.
