A welcome card from executive committee member, Bill Chapman in St. Louis contain; interesting news. Bill says life has been "serene" since his marriage to Fran Johnson in 1970, by which he "accumulated an expanded fanily which now includes five actual and four proxy grandchildren, one a full Korean." Occasionally he gets together with Harry Deckert, BoydRogers, and Dan Kerwin, and a recent trip to Chicago included dinner with Rose and FerbOstrow and a visit to the "beautiful Saariner office" of Woody Curtis in Moline. Fran is nevly-elected to the Wellesley College Board of Trustees - which may be reason for visit; to New England and Hanover!

And here's news from Art Bamford in the inimitable manner of the self-styled "bicephalous parvenu" - "In January Art Bamford on Key Biscayne walked from his home to neighbor SudHulett's to compare bum tans of the codest winter down there in history. Then Art drove across to west coast and barged in on Pat and Scotty McPherson in their beautiful Cape Faze home and bummed a Bloody Mary."

Jack Knode dropped a line to Hall Coton with this report I'd like to share. "Although Dartmouth is far and away my favorite ama mater, I spent my freshman year at Yale, my sophomore year at Albion (in Michigan), and my junior and senior years at Hanover wit! an in-between summer session at Northwesten to take a beginning economics course. I didn't lave the continuation of friendships normally found in four years in a single college, so that my college acquaintanceship is really quite thin, "his is partly the reason I've never gone to Colege reunions, which would have kept me quite tusy if I had. I'm going to our 50th no matter whit!"

George Colton continues to be honored In January he received the Eleanor Collier Award at the District I Conference of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education in Portland, Me. The award recognizes devotion to the higlest standards in the advancement of an institution of higher education. Our hearty congratulations once again, George!

Ed Mitchell has retired after 41 years of service with Texaco, Inc. Ed was elected treasurer of Texaco in 1964, vice president and director of Texaco Europe, Ltd., in 1968, and since 1970 has been managing director of Texaco France, S.A. He'll settle down back here in the States.

Son of physics professor Gilbert, John Gilbert lived in Hanover long before any of the rest of us. Jack is now a retired pathologist and calls Thetford, Vt., home. Retired in no way means inactive, since he's very busy as a consultant for area hospitals all the way down to Bellows Falls and Brattleboro.

It is with regret that I must tell you of the loss of three more classmates: Bus Latimer, BobRoundey, and Frank Donahue. More complete details in the obituary section.

Al Dodd is once again going to serve the Great Class of 1935 as head agent. He's marshalling the forces for the start of the 1977 campaign April 1. Let's give him our early and generous support!

It's not too early to make plans for our annual fall reunion. This year we'll return to Hanover for the second home game, with Holy Cross, on Saturday, September 24. We'll gather Friday afternoon, have dinner at Alumni Hall that night, a class meeting Saturday morning before the game, and another dinner at the Outing Club on Saturday evening. A great deal of fun, and president Harry Ferries wants you there! Don't miss it!
