By the time you receive this issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, our 30th reunion will be only two months away. I trust by now many of you will have made plans to appear on June 12 and that Bob Muenzberg will have received notice of your intentions. We hope that those of you who haven't made up your minds will continue to give the idea careful thought. It should be an excellent way to start a vacation in New England. Besides, the reunion won't be complete without you. There's nothing more disappointing than expecting to see certain people at one of these events and finding them missing. Don't disappoint us, George, Jerry, Stu, Bill, Bob, John....

My news is a little skimpy this month. I suspect your letters were lost in one of the big snowstorms we've had around the country.

Al Smith writes from Brooklyn that he is still an orthopedic surgeon at the Brooklyn VA hospital. It's just a short bike ride from the house where he's lived for the last 13 years. He now has only two children in college, down from three last year; so relief is in sight.

Bob Nutt's marriage to Marjorie Melton was reported in a newspaper clipping I received. This is his second marriage. It took place in Greenwich, Conn. His new wife is an account manager with Henderson, Roll, Friedlich advertising agency in New York where he is a senior vice president. Her father is the late James Melton of the New York Metropolitan Opera. Bob was managing editor of MadisonAvenue magazine before joining Henderson, Roll, Friedlich.

A clipping from the Evening Gazette in Worchester, Mass., announces that Les Felton has been elected president of the Worchester Hahnemann Hospital medical staff. Les has been with the Hahnemann Hospital since 1961.

Guess who's the second-largest grower of miniature rose plants in the country? HarmonSaville. He's president and treasurer of Nor' East Miniature Roses, Inc. in Rowley, Mass. His son, John '73, is operations manager. He and his wife Chip just had their 30th like we all will next June. When he's not raising roses he's talking on his CB radio or hunting geese on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Dick Hanselman has received another promotion within the Beatrice Food organization. He's moved up to corporate executive vice president of Beatrice Foods from corporate senior vice president. Dick will direct the activities of four divisions and one group involved in the manufacture and marketing of products with names such as Samsonite, Charmglow, Melnor Lawn Sprinklers, Morgan Yachts, Hekman Furniture, Harmon Hi-fi Systems, and Airstream Trailers.
