Class Agent, BUNCAN L. FARR 2 Lancey Court, Newburyport, Mass.

We received instructions from Hanover that this month's- copy should be kept to a minimum. The reason, of course, is fairly obvious. This issue is the final round-up for last year's Alumni Fund activities. The point we should like to make is that we are more than willing to keep the copy at a minimum, in as much as there is hardly enough copy on hand to write a full-sized piece. In other words, we are trying to make you guys aware of the fact that our desk is not overburdened with information received from interested classmates, and we would be delighted to see a substantial change in what we have come to accept as the "norm".

HERE & THERE: While casually glancing through our daily copy of Mr. Howard's N. Y.World-Telegram, our eye focussed sharply on a picture of a familiar face. In the flutter of an eye-lid we read the caption underneath, and sure enough, it was none other than Michael Ellis (Mayer Abrahamson) looking substantially the same as he did when he gave us those smooth theatrical performances in Hanover way-back-when. We read the adjoining article about Mike's success with the stage; first as an actor, and more recently as a producer in company with one James Russo. We were amazed at the number of Broadway hit plays that Mike has been actively connected with, and we wondered why we hadn't realized it before this. His latest is "Jenny Kissed Me," which apparently has caught the fancy of the Broadway public While on the subject of the stage, we have a bit of the "Who's who in the cast," from the Playbill of a Chicago production of "A Street Car Named Desire." The lad who plays the part of Steve Hubbel is none other than '3ger Harry Kersey. They say that Harry was a stalwart of the famous Bucks' County and Ivorytown Playhouses, that he toured with the USO during the war and that he produced and directed GI dramatic productions at Fort Benning.

From the Rutland Herald, we learn that Dr.Eddie Wells has just joined the staff of the Rutland Hospital as head of the new department of X-ray therapy. Seems Eddie finished up a visiting fellowship in radiology at the Mayo Clinic' last month, and in so doing, qualified as a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology Bob Brown, Vice-President of Wm. G. Brown Co., and Treasurer of Shepards Market Inc., both in Gloucester, Mass., was recently .elected; president of the local Chamber of Commerce'., Brownie is the youngest president that this'organization has ever had jVe received a welcome letter from Dick Dunham a few weeks ago in answer to our query. He is the technician on a research project at Thayer School, under the direction of Millett Morgan, Ass't Dean. The project is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, and Dick seems to be mighty happy to have his work located in Hanover for a change.

There are four chairmen of Alumni Interviewing Committees in the Class of '39. They are, Walt Darby, Jack Coulson, Doug Farrington, and Bill Russell. These guys, as well as the many other 'sgers who are actively serving on the committees under the above mentioned and committees headed up by other men, deserve a lot more credit than they are liable to be getting. It takes a lot of time from the daily routine and means a batch of extra work, as well as a carload of worry if the sons of their friends and acquaintances don't hit the jackpot in the crowded lists of next year's freshman class.

The Hanover Inn informs us that J. F.Gugelman (Tuck '39), from Paramus, N. J. spent the night of Nov. 14 in Hanover Dr. John Fitzpatrick is connected with the West Jersey Hospital of Camden, N. J Dr. Ed Wayson is in the Dept. of Surgery, Yale Medical School, and is living at 789 Howard Ave., New Haven of course

Howie Pratt, speaking of MD's, is doctoring at the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital, and is living at 970 Canton Ave., Milton, Mass

Gordie McCoun, has moved his base of operations, although still with Panagra, to Cordoba 679, Buenos Aires, Argentina BobKwis is selling for the Bayer Co., Div. of Sterling Drug Co., and is in Chain Store Sales.

DOWN THE AISLE: Last October, Bob Jameson took Miss Aurelia Kurth for his missus, in Houston, Tex. Their wedding trip took in a visit to Bob's home town, Concord, N. H. and a six week Caribbean cruise.

FOLLOWING THE STORK: Johnny Page and his pretty wife Ellen announced the arrival of Cordon William Page, born Dec. 13, and weighing in excess of 8 pounds at birth. The Pages are now living at 217 S. High St., Mechanicsburg, Pa.

We hope that you guys are formulating your plans for the coming Big Tenth Reunion in June. Although Dune Farr has had to resign his position as Reunion Chairman, we hope to have an able successor in charge of the party by the time this copy is read by you guys. Dune, of course, has more than his hands full as our Alumni Fund Class Agent, and in matters of his personal and business affairs.
