Summer was great this year in New England. The sun shone warmly and the mountains and the sea were never too far away for weekend trips. Now the leaves are turning and we are giving baseball its last hurrah. Dartmouth football is staging a comeback (hopefully!) and I have received word from a number of '73s who are planning mini-reunions during various weekends.

One classmate who thoroughly enjoyed the last smile of summer was Mike Neary. On September 15, Mike married Sue Spofford in Wenham, Mass., in a beautiful ceremony. The following hit parade of distinguished '73s graced the ceremony and reception: JimSullivan, who has graduated from Stanford Business School and is now an investment banker in New York; George Baird, married, father of a young boy, and in business in Rochester, Minn.; Larry Roberts, an officer at the New England Merchants National Bank; Dan Fuchs, who will soon be returning to his medical residency in psychiatry; Dave Nichols, assistant manager of the Hanover Inn; Bill Graulty, broadcaster and radio personality in Pittsfield, Mass.; Jeff Miller, who has graduated from Cornell Law School, married, and is now practicing commercial law in San Jose, Calif.; and Brad Little, president of Executone of New Hampshire, a public address systems company.

Following Mike down the aisle was Ned Baldwin, originally of Essexville, Mich. Ned married Sally Baldwin on September 23 and they are now living in North Conway, N.H. Ned is working for Thorne Surveys of Center Conway.

Vic Kiarsis is also getting married this autumn to Melissa McCarthy of Greenwich, Conn. Vic went to Tuck School after graduation and is now a loan officer with Citibank.

Kelvin Chin marred Beth Abrams of Eastchester, N.Y., last spring. The ceremony was at the Hamilton College Chapel in Clinton, N.Y. In attendance were Nick Charmousis, who has graduated from Columbia Law School and is practicing law in New York, and DavidSummers, who is presently working on his Ph.D. thesis at Mt. Sinai in New York, as well as Scott Herriott '75, John Hagelin '75, and George Hammond '75. Kelvin traveled all over the world as a transcendental meditation instructor after graduation. He spent a considerable amount of time in the Far East, especially Hong Kong. Later he taught freshman English at Hamilton College and now he is an insurance agent in the Boston area for Sun Life of Canada.

I'd like to close with some brief notes about the following four classmates. Bob Glovsky is presently working as a financial planner for a firm in Boston. Glover received both his J.D. and master's of taxation from Boston University. He specializes in tax work and estate and personal financial planning for professionals. Phil Maloney is grinding through a residency in orthopedics at Mass General. Dave Clark was recently married to Margie Wagers in Dallas and they are both currently working as lawyers in Atlanta. Finally, George Leach has returned from his escapades abroad and is employed by the opposition, Harvard College, as a financial aid officer.

See you next month.
