The article from the Stamford (Conn.) Advocate has Bill Maeck's name underlined, and the headline reads: "Flower Arranging Course Scheduled." Reading on a bit, it seems the course is entitled, "How Flowers Express Your Feelings." Not knowing that Bill had added this expertise to his Renaissance talents, we read still further. Oh. The flower course is being taught by someone else. Maeck is offering a course at the Greenwich YMCA on Money MasterS: "Practical assistance and specific tools will be given participants to help them manage to live within their incomes. Those taking the course will not be asked to reveal personal income, but they will study old spending patterns, develop new methods and learn how to use money wisely." Write to Bill; he might be willing to enroll you on a correspondence basis. If that doesn't work, what the hell, you could always take the flower arranging course.
No sir, '43 enterprise never ceases. Haroldand Marge Fuller are in the process of selling their home in Keene, preparing for a fall move to Chebeague Island in Maine. There they will operate "the only inn on the island" under the new name of The Chebeague Inn and the Bounty Pub. If you can't get a room in Hanover on a fall weekend, Harold and Marge may be able to accomodate you.
Burroughs Barstow reports from St. Petersburg: "Moved here in September to a delightful spot known as Snell Isle. Katie and I are enjoying retirement in spite of the fact that it was dictated by my health (heart) considerations. Youngest daughter Sally still home once in a while. Last year she was in Spain almost all year, and now is finishing up her senior year at Ohio Wesleyan."
Bob Krumm writes that he and Janet are looking forward to going to Florida for some golf at Mountain Lake. Bob and Smed Ward were the guests of Phil Bowie at the Alfalfa Club dinner in Washington: "This is one of the great events of the year down there. We all had a great time under the careful guidance of our host. Bus Mosbacher was at the next table so the Class was well represented." In his most pleasant letter, Bob also reflected on the "wonderful Princeton game weekend," during which the Krumms were joined by Betty andCharlie Webb, Whiz and George Lowden and Vic and Phil Bowie: "The girls all looked super and the rest of us passable. I wish I had a recording of the songs Charlie sang Saturday night."
Another advance reminder: Fall mini- reunion weekend of September 21-22. Put it on the calendar.
