My pleas for mail have been heeded! Class Treasurer Bob Hittle forwarded me all the news from your dues slips, and there is plenty. Some of the news is rather old, but nevertheless, I shall include as much as space will permit. The remainder will be forwarded to Rob Rees-Jones for inclusion in his next newsletter.
Pete Leitch and his wife Debi moved into their first house last summer in Methuen, Mass. Then, in January, Meghan Heald was born. Pete is working as the computer room supervisor of a local commercial bank and will move into their programming department.
John and Sue Gile are in Bergen County, N.J., where they are fixing up a new home. John is an account executive at Dancer, Fitzgerald, Sample Advertising Agency in New York City. Sue is a sales and service coordinator at U.S. Life Insurance Company.
Also in New Jersey is Steve Tompson. Steve is a lending representative for the National Bank of North America in New York City. He is also attending NYU Business School at night. Tim Mahoney is working for Arthur Anderson in Chicago and will graduate from Northwestern's Graduate School of Management this month.
Following medical school, Tom Gleason began a general surgery internship in the orthopedic residency program at the University of Illinois Medical Center in July of last year. On July 14 of this year he will be married to Antoinette Marie Cucco. Peter Verity received his M.S. in biological oceanography at the Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island in October 1978. He has since re-enrolled as a Ph.D. student. Randy Brooks graduated in May 1978 from Southern Methodist University School of Law and is now working for the corporate law firm of Hughes, Luce, Hennessy, Smith & Castle in Dallas.
Tass Kelso is in graduate school at the University of Colorado, studying arctic and alpine ecology. Jim Reynolds and his wife Haidee are living in Morgantown, W.Va., where Jim is working with the state geological survey as an environmental geologist. Haidee is an obstetrical nurse at the general hospital. Jim plans to return to graduate school in the fall to pursue his doctorate.
Pam Gerver will be graduating from New York Medical College this month. She has been interviewing for an internship position in internal medicine at various locations, including Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. MikePadden is also in "The Big Apple," where he is an attorney working for the criminal defense division of the Legal Aid Society.
Following graduation from the University of Virginia Law School last spring, ArtSchwarzwaelder passed the Pennsylvania Bar exam. He is now a practicing attorney with the Pittsburgh firm of Reed, Smith, Shaw, & McClay. Rick Moore is another University of Virginia student. Rick is finishing up his final year at UVA Business School and says that his plans are "to find some type of job near the ocean."
Bill Cahill writes that he is "keeping busy as the jack-of-all-trades in the family paperboard manufacturing business, and it's given me the opportunity to do a little traveling.
"Also, I have been elected to a two-year term in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. ... I see Jeff Little and Bill Zorn quite often, as they both live nearby. They are both prosperous and eligible, swinging bachelors."
Jake Dann recently finished a master's program in geology at Michigan Tech. AndyCraig is attending New York University Graduate School of Law working toward an LL.M. in taxation.
