Recently the New York Times reported that Jack Krumpe, who is now the executive vice president of Madison Square Garden Corpora- tion, is soon to be named vice president of the New York Rangers. He will also become presi- dent of the Knicks and a member of the National Basketball Association and National Hockey League Board of Governors. If there is an executive sports pentathalon, I think Jack just won it. It is interesting to note that Jack, as former president of the New York Racing Association, was one of the guiding forces in the development of the Meadowlands Sports Complex where John Demas's trotter competed in the Hambletonian.
Jim Perkins, who has already had a varied and interesting career in television, advertising, marketing, Playboy, and "55 Out," has been ap- pointed president and chief operating officer of Hearst/ABC Video Services, a cable program- ming joint venture of the Hearst Corporation and American Braodcasting Companies Inc. Jim will have overall responsibility for the manage- ment and daily operation of the recently-formed company. There were numerous qualified can- didates for this important and challenging posi- tion, and it is a testimonial to Jim's background in cable television, publishing, and advertising that he surfaced the winner. He and his family have relocated to the New York area.
Another 'sser who has moved eastward is Ken Lundstrom, who is now located in New Canaan, Conn. Prior to making the trek, last summer, Ken had an opportunity to have dinner with Tom McGreevy and his wife Sharon in San Francisco and "enjoyed seeing them for the first time since 1958."
Fred Lione has been appointed development manager with responsibility for overall project management by the Rockefeller Center Develop- ment Corporation. This national real estate development subsidiary of Rockefeller Center Inc. is currently engaged in several large-scale developments across the country, including phase two. of the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, the Wells Fargo building in downtown Los Angeles, and the Irving Trust Company's new operations center in lower Manhattan.
Every once in a while some news leaks out of southern New Hampshire, and although it might not be startling copy, this time it is informative for those of us who are classmates of Ray Woolson. "The Snake" has been elected to serve on the Friends of the Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul's School and should be recognized for that good community endeavor.
We have a well-known classmate who, it appears, is moonlighting as a model. Look for the details next month.
