Again your secretary nears the MAGAZINE deadline with little to relate. First Bill Ryan of Wilton, Conn., writes, "We all appreciate the good work you are doing, and I for one wish I had something interesting to report."
Al Strout from Texas writes, "Thanks for remembering my 86th birthday." Besides losing money on the stock market and fretting about five grandchildren, he and Mary pass along Life's Highway happily enough. They travel in the summer and loaf the rest of the year.
Mildred Farmer, Warren's widow, withdraws from our rolls, for all close Dartmouth friends have passed on. She adds, "You have been very kind to me."
As this arrives in Hanover, so too will your secretary, Prexy Chet Hulbert, Bequester DickWhite, and Head Class Agent Baron von Kapff for Class Officers Weekend. We all trust the Baron will give us the best start ever for the Alumni Fund. Have you participated? If you have, how's for adding several modest memorial gifts?
Wendell P. Sigler '20, an alert reader, caught an error in the obituary your secretary wrote for Homer B. Hill and called it to the attention of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. Homer did attend Dartmouth more than one year. In fact, he graduated. The only excuse your secretary has was that he could not find Homer listed in the 1918 Aegis. He regrets the error.
Regretfully, we report that Hugh Foss died and also Clifford L. Daniels after a long illness. An obituary for each will appear in this or the next issue.
