A friend of mine recently ran into Joe Donovan ....literally! It seems that Joe is a "slum landlord" in Boston, and while defending his private parking areas from squatter invasions he his front fender mangled by my over-exuberant acquaintance. Anyway, it was good to hear from Joe and learn of this bizarre incident. If that's it takes to extract news from you, it's fine with me. My car is O.K.
A few '55s art on the move: Paul Sweetnam just pure haste a house in Westport, Mass. If you are ever down that way, drift by Drift Road, where you will most likely find Paul sleeping on the banks of the Westport River. This should sound inviting enough for Dick Brown to consider a similar move back to what was his home village. Dick has been a city boy for some time, living in the greater Boston area with his wife Anne. But being a good manager, he manages to allot time in the summer months to fish Buzzards Bay, near Westport and the islands.
Roelof Tony Kreulan is moving to South Africa from New Canaan, Conn. Currently. Tony is employed at the well-known address of 110 William Street in Manhattan, but Harry Ambrose, the informant, failed to mention who employs him. Anyway, sounds like an exciting change of venue and menu for Tony. I'm sure he'll write more details once he settles in. I wonder if Tony realizes he has another winter staring him in the face?
Dave Conlin is also leaving the country, moving from Charlottesville, N.C., to Europe. He joins a host of '55s there, including John Demas, who recently moved to Brussels; Peter Robinson, who has been happily ensconced in Paris for years; and Gus Aberle, a relatively new chap in London. We have our own international network in place in case the F.B.i.'s Roger Young needs assistance.
Back in this country, Paul Zimmerman of Chevy Chase, Md., is still the executive director of the Washington-based Moped Association of America. He mentioned that he travels to California on business several times a year and regularly sees Barry Rubens and Gerry Kleinman, "both of whom bask in the warm ambiance of Santa Monica." Obviously, the question is, "Does Paul travel to California on his moped?" His son Jeff graduated with the class of'Bl and attends Columbia Law School. Paul's other son, John, is a Columbia undergraduate, and his daughter Julie, being a junior in high school, will soon have a similar opportunity to tax her father's cash reserves.
Speaking of tuition bills, Al Root of Tampa. Fla., has a son in the class of 'B2 who will be attending the University of Florida College of Medicine next September. A 1 s daughter is in the class of'Bs, while his younger son has three more years to decide whether to follow the family tradition.
From Arlington Heights, just outside of Chicago, Don Wright writes, "On business in Detroit, I looked up Jim Sherman and spent a most comfortable evening with him and his wife; coincidentaliy it was his 48th birthday. We can all relate to that number.

This will be our 30th, and for those former math majors who have already picked up the fact that only 29 years will have passed since our graduation, it's our turn to have a reunion in an off-year.
