Greetings and salutations. I hope this finds you in pleasant enjoyment of the summer Given the volume of mail this month there is probably a lot of enjoyment, because there isn't very much to report. In fact, it looked I was going to get away with not writing this column at all when I got another letter from that most prolific of our classmates, Fabian Ropogol. As you may remember, Fabian has passed most of the time since graduation in the fermented beverage business, involving himself in all aspects of this most important sector of industry. Afar some study of champagne and a few vague months in mead, which I believe is a combination of wine, whiskey, and honey, Fabian decided to come home and concentrate on beer Having become quite familiar with consumption patterns during his four years on the Haroer Plain, Fabian decided that selling beer was a pleasant way to earn a living, especially since every time he had a new marketing idea he could try it out on himself, thereby tansforming many of those endless afternoons in the office into several hours of beer-drinking. These days, Fabian has gone into business for himself as a beer marketing specialist, searching for ideas for beer commercials. Recently, our classmate interviewed some members of the plum: ing trade about doing some Miller-time spots, and he talked to a guy who had just repaired John Burke's garbage disposal, whom we all know as Ghort. Well, it seems that Ghort was backed up because John had tried to put some dispos-a-diapers down Ghort as a test run. Upon further questioning, it turned out that the Burkes were expecting their first child ■soon, and Burkie was seeing if there was an easy way to get rid of the main thing his new offspring will be producing. Good luck, John, and we hope that Ghort gets well soon.
There was also some good news frum Shel Prentice. After exposing the efficient administration of Vermont's bar exam, Barbara passed the exam and will be admitted in May. Final!;. Drew Howard wrote to say that they which includes Clair Thiebault, whom he married last October in Hanover are building small dams in northern Cameroon. He adds that visitors are always welcome.
Well, that's about it for this month. I hope someone will be moved to write so that the rest of you will be spared tales of Fabians most recent beer commercial.
